Andaman targets January 2027 launch of tourism booking platform for permits, activities
The Andaman and Nicobar Administration is targeting January 2027 to introduce a single-window booking system for island tourism. Lieutenant Governor Dr Dinesh Sharma directed this during a review of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Integrated Development Corporation (ANIIDCO) and Tourism Department at Lok Niwas, Sri Vijaya Puram. The proposed platform is expected to bring entry permits, boat tickets, water sports, and other services onto one portal. It aims to improve convenience and transparency for visitors and support boat and water-sports operators. The administration has not published details on participating operators, payment processes, or booking procedures. The existing tourism portal handles visitor registration and sound-and-light show bookings; the integrated platform has not yet launched.
